On the ZAC Saint-Vincent-de-Paul site, Eurovia uses the Rock-E battery pack, supplied by Loxam, to power its tools and site facility.
Following a first successful deployment, the Rock-E now equips a new site run by the Eurovia Aubervilliers branch: ZAC Saint-Vincent-de-Paul, in the 14th arrondissement of Paris. The battery pack was supplied by the Loxam Stade de France branch.
A new eco-district
A new eco-district is taking shape on the site of the former Saint-Vincent-de-Paul hospital. Its ambition: “zero carbon, zero waste, zero discharge.” It echoes our own DNA: zero emission, zero noise, zero odor.
The site: roads and utilities (VRD)
Eurovia is carrying out VRD works (roads and utility networks): ground preparation, pipework and road layout. In the heart of Paris, noise, emissions and fuel handling are major constraints for crews and residents alike.
The need :
The Eurovia teams had two concrete needs:
- Boosting the autonomy of the site facility, already equipped with solar panels, to run air conditioning all day, essential during heatwaves.
- Powering tools (plate compactor, electric chainsaw, rammer) and recharging portable power tool batteries.
The solution: Rock-E
Rock-E is our mobile battery-powered generator, rated 8 kW / 10 kWh. It is silent, emission-free and odor-free. It recharges from the mains, solar panels or an electric vehicle charging point.
What it changes on site
- Enough power and autonomy to run tools and recharge portable equipment, without a thermal generator.
- Ease of use and mobility: no heavier than an equivalent thermal generator, no fuel handling, no maintenance, ultra-mobile, able to handle high power peaks.
- A cleaner site: no more noise or emissions on a sensitive urban site, and a site facility powered continuously thanks to the battery + solar combination.
- Designed and manufactured in France, an additional CSR argument.
Loxam, a partner in decarbonizing construction sites
Rock-E is now referenced at Loxam. In line with its Loxam Green range, the Loxam Stade de France branch supplied the Eurovia branch with the equipment and battery pack to power the site.
