Our Story
Founder Rémi PILLOT is a mechanical engineer. After a career in large automotive groups (electric and hybrid vehicles), then aeronautical groups (helicopter prototypes), he launched in 2008 his first electric retrofit start-up, with the aim of converting classic (collector) vehicles into electric vehicles using second-life batteries.
After several achievements, with his 100% electric van demonstrator (VW T3 from 1987) equipped with a solar trailer, he was able to prove during a 5-week, 5000 km tour of France in complete energy autonomy that mobile photovoltaic energy production made long-distance travel 100% clean possible.

Our Story
Building on this experience and the information gathered on the use of Li-ion batteries and solar panels, it was time to industrialize this solution for producing and storing clean, mobile energy and to offer it as an alternative to thermal generators. PESS energy was born, and the feature film production industry quickly embraced this long-awaited innovation.
